Portal Security will expand its London Security Division through a new joint venture with experienced industry security experts, Adrian Moore and David Ward CSyP FSyl. Yesterday we celebrated the retirement of Jimmy Young, one of our dedicated security operatives. For 4 years, Jimmy has been a pillar of safety and reliability, ensuring the well-being of everyone at every contract he has been deployed to. Jimmy was overwhelmed on his last day at Portal with visits from Michael Goldie, Caitlin Monks, Paul Goldie, Baz cowan and Declan Goldie. Which shows how valued he was as a team member. Not a bad last shift 😊 Thank you Jimmy, for your unwavering commitment and hard work. This month is Plastic Free July and at Portal Security we believe in holding ourselves and each other accountable in doing the right thing and aim to raise awareness across our business, particularly with our frontline teams on how we can reduce the plastic we use, not only at work, but also at home! Did you know? - Around 11 million tonnes of plastic enter the ocean each year. - 8 million pieces of plastic enter the ocean every day. - Over a million seabirds and 100,000 mammals are killed each year by plastic debris. Wow, what an amazing week it has been for Portal Security On Monday morning, we successfully mobilised three new contracts and were excited to welcome 35 new colleagues to our growing team. We achieved a 100% TUPE Transfer rate, and every new employee is now receiving a much better benefits package than before, which reflects our strong focus on people and the improvements we've made in our benefits offering. Each contract is unique in its own way. We are working with Stockley Park, a premier business park, Mosaic East, a high-end, contemporary 'plug and play' workspace, and a UK-regulated specialist trade finance bank based in the City of London. We are well-equipped to meet the specific requirements of each contract, thanks to our extensive experience. This week, we also held our Company Town Hall, which engaged every part of the business. We were pleased to see great participation from our Security Officers, demonstrating the positive culture we have. To top off this fantastic week, we are excited to announce that we have successfully secured another significant contract and are looking forward to getting stuck in!
