HAWTHORNE HOUSE, STRATFORD - Stratford School Academy Our chaps from the Unite Students Hawthorne House project, Erion Toska and Bradley Collyer were invited by INSPIRE to hold a seminar at Stratford School Academy recently. The guys delivered a seminar to the students on Business Planning, Sustainability, Transferable Skills and Presentation Techniques to encourage entrepreneurial skills. BROAD STREET, BIRMINGHAM RG Group are proud to announce the completion of the BTR project at Broad Street, Birmingham for our client Cortland. The development consists of a 35 storey tower shouldered with a further 6 storey block. The two buildings will provide 440 (one & two bedroom) apartments for private rent, deliveing 676 bedrooms in total. The development communal amenities include a fitness centre, cinema and lounge area, business lounge / co-working space, cycle storage plus a sky lounge, private courtyard garden, entertainment courtyard and a dog park. SILVERSTONE – Link Bridge With the British Grand Prix taking place this coming weekend we thought we would look back at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel which RG Group constructed and specifically the installation of the 80m link bridge that connects the Hilton Garden Inn hotel to the Silverstone International Conference & Exhibition Centre. The bridge was designed and built by J&D Pierce Contracts Ltd involving an asymmetric warran truss to offset footfall induced vibrations, tubular framing and spider fixings to accommodate faceted glass facades and smart temporary works involving pretensioned shores and piles to avoid track constraints. With cladding and glass pre-installed, the bridge was erected in three module sections from access provided on one side of the race track. Keep a look out for the glazed bridge that spans the Hamilton Straight start-finish line during the qualifying sessions and of course during the big race on Sunday. #rggroup #Silverstone #JandDPierce #LoveConstruction

FEEDER ROAD, BRISTOL – Key 4 Life: Dragons Den The RG Group team at Feeder Road, Bristol along with other local companies last week assisted Key4Life charity in holding a “Dragons Den” style forum. AWARD NOMINATIONS 2024 RG Group are extremely proud to hear two of our recently completed projects have been short listed for three awards, thanks to Alivauk nominating these project. Morriss House, Nottingham constructed for our client Unite Students has been nominated in the London Construction Awards in the category of Residential Project of the Year. In the Façade Awards UK we have two shortlisted projects. Morriss House, Nottingham has been nominated in the category of Best New Build (North). The Broad Street, Birmingham project completed for our client Cortland has been nominated in the category of Best Use of a Brick Slip Cladding System. The London Construction Awards take place on 27th September 2024 in London and the Façade Awards UK will be held on the 8th November 2024 in Manchester. YEAR OUT GRADUATES 2024 / 2025 A warm welcome to our year out graduates who started with RG Group yesterday. The graduates spent the day at our Kings Hill office where they received their company inductions for the various departments within the business and received their sparkling new PPE. Today they start their first day on site. Best wishes to Noah, Jean, Matthew, Lyka, Destiny, Hasnain, Mirrielle, Jacob and Emma enjoy your time with RG Group.

LEEDS II – Primary School Recycled Planters This week the RG Group team from Leeds II who are currently constructing a new residential building for our client HUB, visited St Margarets Primary School in Leeds. The team delivered new planters, which were built from recycled pallets and shuttering timber donated by numerous sub contractors including Fox Aluminium, PIC, SCS, 4D, Metclad and Kone . Arranged by our Environmental Champion Adam Green and supported by RG After Care’s Phil Hole, GoGreen and Starkold Building Services, our group of volunteers supported the children and staff who spent the morning planting vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruit bushes, along with bird feeders too. A big thank from everyone at RG Group to all those who volunteered their time and supported the whole initiative, from saving the timber, constructing the planters, delivering the planters to the school, providing the soil and plants and of course helping the children with the planting. FEEDER ROAD, BRISTOL Our team at Feeder Road, Bristol have recently received recognition of their achievement of providing 10 Tonnes of wood as part of their involvement with the Community Wood Recycling scheme. The Community Wood Recycling scheme collects and sorts the wood. It is then either resold, used to make new products, small pieces cut into firewood and anything else that can't be repurposed is recycled as wood chippings.
