Last week we brought together our customer teams for a summer social to connect and celebrate our wins from the year. We love bringing together teams on different projects who don't usually get to meet. It lets our associates share insights from projects, learn from each other, and network along the way. Steve will bring invaluable expertise to our team with his 14+ years’ experience in the NHS and wider healthcare sector. That includes delivering ‘people before technology’ solutions at at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and for healthcare organisations across the USA and Middle East. We’re starting our mission to support NHS Trusts to adopt user-centred design and build the in-house capability to become technically self-sufficient. We had an incredible two days at Partnership Network Events (PNE)'s Healthcare Partnership Network event last week. We met leaders from NHS Trusts across southern England to understand their challenges — clinical and digital — and to explore how a different take on consulting could help master them. We also ran a fun and packed-out interactive session on user-centred design (UCD). We debunked myths about #UCD, and explored why understanding frontline staff's everyday user needs is critical for building quality services that people will successfully adopt and use to improve patient care. A huge thanks to all of the NHS leaders who took part in the session, joined us for dinner, and got to know us during the event. We're also thrilled to say that thanks to your participation, you helped us raise £5000 for a charity close to our and the NHS's hearts: Diabetes UK.
