#PrizeDraw : Seek out the new #Scriveners Hall Plaque, take your photo there and tagged us in the post before Wednesday 2 October 2024 and we'll enter you in a prize draw. The #MasterScrivener will make the draw and the winner will be announced at our #AutumnDinner at Apothecaries Hall on Tuesday 15 October. We'll only put your name in once, but we'll add you if you're in the photo and are tagged in the text, along with The Scriveners' Company, so get a group of friends along for the photo-shoot. #CommonHall is on Monday 30 September and Noble Street is only a hop, skip and a jump from #Guildhall, so drop round on your way to vote for the next #LordMayor if you can't get there over the summer.
Yesterday morning my colleague Sara Dodd and I went along to a lovely coffee morning organised by Norah Durrant and her Female Counsel network, hosted by the lovely team at Osborne Clarke It was a great morning swapping stories, experiences and making new connections with female lawyers in the City. Thank you to both Norah and the OC Team for organising and hosting us so well! Sara and I couldn’t help but stop by the newly installed plaque commemorating the site of the The Scriveners' Company Hall, which is right by Osborne Clarke’s offices. The ancient Scriveners’ Hall was lost to the Great Fire of London in 1666, but was rebuilt and then bought by the Coachmakers' Company in 1703. The Hall was ultimately destroyed in the Blitz, and now, as we close out our 650th year of the Scriveners Company, we have a plaque to remember the site of our Hall in Noble Street. I wonder if you can spot it the next time you are passing! #cityoflondon #notaries #scrivenernotary #liverycompany #guildhall #liveryhall #femalelawyers De Pinna LLP, Notaries
