Our Client is an International group who provides the most innovative sustainable solutions for the food, food service, ice cream and beverage markets. We are currently recruiting for a strong Business Development Manager who will manage the top clients and will develop the UK market.


Responsibilities

  • As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for achieving agreed targets for client retention and growth amongst a portfolio of key accounts mostly in the FMCG sector. Focused primarily on overseeing the relationship, managing and growing the business, ensuring that the client has a successful experience and the relationship grows;
  • Account strategy & planning - develop an account plan to deliver retention and growth;
  • Contract management - conduct monthly service performance reporting to ensure that the client has a positive experience in line with our contract;
  • Manage commercial issues as needed;
  • Contract retention - proactively manage contract renewals where possible and lead the response to re-bids;
  • Achieve account growth targets - proactively develop new account relationships as determined in the account plan;
  • Account loyalty & satisfaction - ensure the client’s positive experience is reflected in high satisfaction and loyalty ratings;
  • Product knowledge – develop excellent knowledge on solutions/services portfolio to identify new opportunities and where appropriate present/demonstrate solutions;
  • Reporting on results - monthly report showing progress against the account plans plan.


What we are looking for:

You will have experience managing large complex accounts and delivering sales growth in line with target plans. You will work with your colleagues to ensure.

You will have excellent IT skills in Microsoft packages – Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint. Preferred degree-level education.
