I am currently recruiting for a leading Lloyd's Syndicate who are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join their growing team.

My client is looking for someone with up to 1 years experience in the insurance industry, ideally within an Underwriting Support role. This role will be reinsurance focused, so knowledge within this area is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring and managing Member inquiries on a daily basis, especially during the renewal period.
• Performing regular maintenance and management of the Underwriting and Claims system, including communication with the system developers (Optilitix).
• Ensuring that any issues identified from Member questionnaires are communicated to the engagement team and recorded in the CRM system.
• Collaborating with Members to address any inquiries related to the underwriting system.
• Coordinating with the engagement and communication teams to maintain the CRM system.
• Providing support to the Chief Underwriting Officer in meeting treaty and retro requirements.
• Attending select retro broker and reinsurer meetings.
