Tom’s story is a testament to the incredible potential and opportunities that apprenticeships and internships can unlock. Tom’s journey began with work experience at a main contractor, where his passion and dedication quickly shone through. This early experience earned him a spot in their apprenticeship scheme in 2016. From there, Tom continued to excel, pursuing his Level 3 & 4 course in Building Services Engineering while working at Introba UK. Tom's commitment to his work and thirst for knowledge propelled him forward, and he went on to achieve a degree in Building Services Engineering Design - graduating with First Class Honors! 🎓✨ Today, Tom is one of our valued Intermediate Engineers, contributing his expertise and innovative spirit to our team every day. His journey from apprentice to accomplished engineer is truly inspiring, and we are so proud to have him as part of the team. The Manser Practice Architects + Designers is thrilled to announce the successful completion of another project for Merlin Entertainments at Warwick Castle! We have added 60 bedrooms to the existing lodge accommodation, enhancing the site offer to welcome additional castle, concert and event guests. Acting as concept architects & interior designers, The Manser Practice Architects + Designers collaborated with Lichfields UK & the Local Authority to navigate a complex planning process on this heritage site, nestled in a conservation area & Grade I listed park & gardens. We also provided comprehensive services post-contract – delivering a combined architecture/ID role on behalf of RED Construction Group and acted as Client Monitor for Merlin Entertainments. It has been a pleasure working with the design, Merlin Entertainments & Warwick Castle team on such a unique site and look forward to the completion of the final phase of on-site F&B expansion being delivered by CHIEL CONSTRUCTION LTD later this Summer. Together with our client Berkeley Group Plc St William we are delighted to announce that Mitcham Gasworks achieved a resolution for planning approval at the London Borough of Merton Planning Committee. When creating a design concept, we have considered the sites historic use as a gas works alongside the emerging context and allocation, which looks to ‘reimagine character’. Given the site’s strategic location, the design creates an opportunity to transform the redundant and under-utilised site into a new neighbourhood dedicated to the residents of Mitcham. The comprehensive revitalization of the former gasworks site by transforming it into a vibrant and cohesive district will create pleasant places to live and visit, which will create 579 new homes, including 35% affordable apartments 79% dual aspect units across all tenures, commercial retail and community use spaces designed as a series of streets and permeable routes all based around a car-free landscaped centre. The variety of apartments on offer will ensure a rich and vibrant mix of residents.   The proposed development will support and serve the new and existing local community through the creation of new jobs and a variety of new public amenities providing local investment for Mitcham as well as public open space which naturally attracts people and effectively integrates the development into the existing community.   Thank you for all involved, especially the Mitcham Gas works team and St William for creating this opportunity.
