Police are appealing for help to find three men following an attack in which part of a man's ear was bitten off.

The victim was approached by three people who assaulted him close to The Castle pub on Colchester's High Street at about 05:00 BST on 28 April.

Essex Police said he was still receiving hospital treatment for his injuries and needed reconstructive plastic surgery.

Officers have asked anyone who recognises the men, or who has information about the assault, to contact them citing incident number 42/67667/24.
