The Maruti Suzuki Swift, the company’s most popular hatchback tops the list with 19,393 cars sold in May 2024, up from 17,346 cars sold in May 2023. The car reported an 11.8 percent year-on-year growth in sales.

The Tata Punch, which was the top-selling car last month is now in the second position with 18,949 cars sold in May 2024, up from 11,124 cars sold in May 2023, recording a 70.3 percent growth in sales.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has reported a good increase in sales year-on-year. The car’s sales increased to 16,061 units in May 2024 from 11,315 in May 2023, a 41.9 percent increase.

Hyundai Creta, a popular SUV from the Korean automaker, is fourth on the list. Hyundai sold 14,662 units of Creta in May 2024, up from 14,449 cars sold in May 2023, registering a growth of 1.47 percent.

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR, one of the company’s most popular cars, has emerged as the country’s fifth most selling car in May 2024, with 14,492 cars sold during the month, down from 16,258 cars in May 2023, recording a decline of 10.86 percent.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza was the sixth top-selling car in May 2024, with 14,186 cars sold during the month, up from 13,392 cars sold in May 2023, an increase of 4.88 percent.

The next car on the list is the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The company sold 13,893 cars in May 2024, up from 10,528 cars sold in May 2023, a 31.96 percent year-on-year increase.

The Mahindra Scorpio SUV is the eighth most selling car in the month, with 13,717 units sold in May 2024, up from 9,318 vehicles sold in May 2023, an increase of 47.21 percent.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno has also reported a big year-on-year decline in sales. The company sold 12,842 cars in May 2024, down from 18,733 cars sold in May 2023, a 31.45 percent year-on-year decline.

The recently launched Maruti Suzuki Fronx is tenth on the list, with 12,681 cars sold in May 2024, up from 9,863 cars sold in May 2023, registering a 28.74 percent growth.
