Samsung launched five new products at its Galaxy Unpacked event in India. - The company has launched the
Galaxy Fold 4 ,Galaxy Flip 4 ,Galaxy Watch 5 series and theGalaxy Buds 2 Pro . - Here’s everything you need to know about the new products from Samsung.
Samsung also launched the Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, the company’s latest true wireless earbuds. All the devices launched today are successors of the company’s foldable range of phones and its flagship smartwatch and TWS.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has been priced starting at $1,799 (approx. ₹1,42,320) and is available in Gray green, Phantom Black and Beige color options.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 features a large 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED inner display with Quad HD+ resolution, just like its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The device retains the same 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED outer display with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. While the main display offers a 1Hz to 120Hz variable refresh rate, the cover screen offers a 48Hz to 120Hz variable refresh rate.
In terms of performance, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It features 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage, allowing you to store many files without worrying about running out of space.
Coming to the camera department, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 features a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The device comes with two selfie cameras, a 4MP under-display camera on the inner display, and a 10MP camera on the outer display. Interestingly, you can also use the rear camera for selfies by opening the display. The device comes with the Nightography mode offered by the Galaxy S22 series.
The device is powered by a 4,400mAh battery coupled with 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Samsung has once again offered slow charging with the device. The device weighs 263 grams, making it the lightest Galaxy Fold device so far.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has been priced at $999 (approx. ₹79,030) and will be available in Bora Purple, Graphite, Pink Gold and Blue color options.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 features the same design as its predecessor, Galaxy Z Flip 3. It features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED flex display on the inside with a 1Hz to 120Hz variable refresh rate. On the outside, it comes with the same 1.9-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.
The outer display lets you view the time and notifications at a glance. This time, Samsung has added some customization options and a portrait photo mode.
Samsung has also used the same Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset for the Galaxy Z Flip 4. It features 8GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
Coming to the optics, the device features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the front, the device sports a 10MP selfie camera. Like the Fold 4, the Galaxy Flip 4 has also received the Nightography mode.
Samsung has upgraded the battery on the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and the device comes with a 3,700mAh battery with 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging support. The company has claimed that the Galaxy Flip 4 can be charged from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro are priced starting at $279 (approx. ₹22,070).
The new smartwatches from Samsung run on Wear OS 3.5 with the company’s One UI Watch 4.5 on top.
The Galaxy Watch 5 features a 1.19-inch AMOLED display, and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro features a slightly larger 1.36-inch AMOLED display. Both watches are circular and powered by the Exynos W920 chipset. Both watches have sapphire crystal glass that is said to be quite sturdy and durable.
Samsung has offered the usual health tracking features such as heart rate sensor, blood oxygen saturation monitor, temperature monitor, and more. It can track your sleep levels and provide insights into your sleep patterns. It gives not only sleep data but also analysis and personalized sleep coaching.
The Pro variant is being launched for the first time. It has a set of features like outdoor data tracking, it also has a digital wheel to navigate within the OS. Unlike the Galaxy Watch 5, it has a magnetic buckle strap and a titanium body. It has a big 590mAh battery that lasts 20 hours on GPS and over three days in normal use.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is priced at $229 (approx. ₹18,120) and is available in Graphite, White and Bora Purple color options.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro comes with minor upgrades over the Galaxy Buds Pro. They are equipped with Intelligent Active Noise Cancellation, which the company claims blocks out more ambient noise.
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro has 10mm dynamic drivers that deliver rich audio and powerful bass. It features 360-degree audio for an immersive experience. It also has a new scalable audio technology that keeps the bitrate of the audio as original instead of compressing it.
The Galaxy Buds Pro has IPX7 water resistance and features HD voice pickup for improved call quality. The earbuds feature three microphones on each earbud that makes calling and noise canceling better.
While the earbuds are claimed to offer 8 hours of playback on a single charge, the case provides an additional 29 hours of playback.
