The company recently launched the INZONE Buds, the company’s gaming-focused wireless earbuds in India. Sony’s gaming accessories have mostly been focused on its PlayStation but that has been changing with the company’s INZONE lineup, which is compatible with other devices as well. As such, the INZONE Buds are compatible with the PS5, Mobile and PC. The charging case is bigger than what most truly wireless earbuds offer but then again this isn’t something that you will carry in your pocket. <div type="image" title="Earbuds" msid="107492527" hostid="261" sizebytes="23998" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The earbuds&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Coming to the earbuds, the earbuds I tested feature a dual-tone white and black colour combination. The earbuds come with a short stem and look good. The earbuds come with a touch-sensitive surface that allow you to control them. One of the things that you need to think about before buying a TWS is the comfort that they offer. The INZONE Buds are comfortable to use, even for extended durations. I used the device for hours on the go, without any issues, be it sweat or pain in the ear. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Features and performance" comment="subhead" text="Features and performance">Features and performance</cmsannotation> The Sony INZONE Buds come with a USB Type-C dongle to connect with your device. If you do not wish to connect with a dongle, you can also use the USB Type-C cable provided with the earbuds to connect to your computer. <div type="image" title="Dongle" msid="107492544" hostid="261" sizebytes="32944" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The dongle&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The INZONE Buds also offer Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to easily connect it with smartphones or Bluetooth-enabled devices without the need of a dongle or a cable. If you are using the INZONE Buds on your computer, you can download the <keyword id="20492931" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="inzone-hub" source="keywords">INZONE Hub</keyword> application to manage spatial audio, presets, EQ settings, make dynamic range adjustments and more. One of the biggest issues with TWS is latency, as delayed audio could be the difference between a win and a loss. The INZONE Buds offer low-latency, making them an excellent option for gaming. The INZONE Buds offer excellent sound quality, be it for gaming or watching movies and shows. The earbuds offer loud and crisp sounds, while not interfering too much with the original sound quality. The INZONE Buds offer spatial audio and also allow you to download an app to scan your ear and personalise the spatial audio to your ear. While I found the spatial audio to be good, the personalisation did not have any significant impact. If you are someone who plays multiplayer games a lot and likes staying connected with friends while gaming, the earbuds offer good noise cancellation. The microphone is decent but nothing too spectacular. As per friends I spoke with while using the earbuds, my sound was slightly different. The Sony INZONE Buds are claimed to offer a 12 hours of battery life with a single charge and 24 hours with the case. I found the battery life to be excellent, going over 10 hours. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> The Sony INZONE Buds is a good option if you are looking for a pair of good gaming earbuds. If you are someone who does not want a large headphone and would prefer a TWS for gaming, the INZONE Buds are worth considering, thanks to its excellent audio quality, long battery life and Sony’s reliability. The Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), a global standards body advancing transparency online through certifying the provenance of digital content, on Friday announced that <keyword id="19902762" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="google" source="keywords">Google</keyword> has joined as a steering committee member and support <keyword id="20518759" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="content-credentials" source="keywords">Content Credentials</keyword> to bring transparency to digital content in the AI era. Google will collaborate with other steering committee members like Adobe, BBC, Intel, Microsoft, <keyword id="19963754" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="publicis-groupe" source="keywords">Publicis Groupe</keyword>, Sony, and Truepic to develop the technical standard for Content Credentials. Content Credentials is the C2PA's technical standard for tamper-resistant metadata that can be attached to digital content, showing how and when the content was created or modified. Google joins global coalition to bring transparency to digital content in AI era

The first ever European Union (EU)-India Track 1.5 dialogue on countering the use of unmanned aerial systems (<keyword id="20493008" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="uas" source="keywords">UAS</keyword>) by extremists and non-state actors will take place in New Delhi on Thursday. The day-long EU-<keyword id="19895063" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="india" source="keywords">India</keyword> roundtable seeks to better understand the range of current and emerging threats particularly involved with consumer-grade UAS technology. Participants from the EU and India will also discuss best practices regarding regulatory, tactical and investigative responses to addressing UAS threats in both regions, according to an official release. Commercial UAS has been developing rapidly in recent years, both in terms of technological sophistication and consumer availability. Violent extremists have exploited these inexpensive and adaptable consumer devices for different purposes, including reconnaissance and violent attacks. This roundtable is part of a series of ongoing counterterrorism engagements between the EU and India, building on recent activities under the EU project Enhancing Security Cooperation In and With Asia (ESIWA). In the field of counter-terrorism and preventing violent extremism (CT-PVE), activities have included successful chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) risk management training for Indian security practitioners, and moderated expert discussions on countering online extremism, the release added. "Security and terrorist threats are increasingly of an hybrid nature. The use of commercial drones is a case in point. If a relatively cheap device can carry and fly a pizza or biryani, then clearly, they can also be used for carrying more nefarious payloads, such as weapons or explosives" EU Ambassador to India Herve Delphin said. "Sharing knowledge and experiences between us, the EU and India, is highly relevant and crucial to counter drones' threats that we each face, in this rapidly evolving field. This seminar testifies to EU and India's general joint commitment to intensify dialogue and cooperation on security issues," he added. Seizing the opportunity to exploit these relatively inexpensive and adaptable devices, terrorist organisations and individual violent extremists across the world have deployed 'off-the-shelf' drones. The swift rise of this phenomenon and the evolving technologies involved mean that threat assessments and mitigation strategies are recent and ongoing. Sharing information with peers is therefore vital in forging a common response to ensure our security and defence. This EU-India roundtable has been organised by the ESIWA project, in partnership with the National Security Guard of India, and the EU Delegation to India. Highlighting the Team Europe approach, expert inputs will be provided from the EU's Directorate General of Migration and Home Affairs (DG Home), Spain's Ministry of the Interior, Hungary's national police (Rendorseg), along with the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (<keyword id="20493007" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="unocct" source="keywords">UNOCCT</keyword>), it also said. The ESIWA project is co-funded by the European Union, the German Federal Foreign Office and the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. ESIWA's activities in counter-terrorism and preventing violent extremism (CT-PVE) aims to contribute to information exchange, capacity building and mutual learning. In October 2023, the EU Commission issued a Communication to the Council and European Parliament on countering potential threats posed by drones. The document sets out the EU's commercial drone policy for the next several years. The communication specifically aims to "provide a comprehensive and harmonised policy framework; build a common understanding of applicable procedures to face the continuously evolving threats possibly posed by drones; and take into account the rapid developments in technology". with or without the heatsink for the 1TB and 2TB variants, while the 4TB variant is only available without a heatsink. As expected, the heat sink adds up a considerable amount of size and weight to the SSD. While the 2TB SSD without the heatsink measures 80mm x 22mm x 2.38mm and weighs 7.5 grams, the heatsink variant measures 80mm x 23.4mm x 8.8mm and weighs 24 grams. I tested the 2TB variant with a heatsink, which is quite bulky and the circuit board has been encased in metal. The heatsink comes with holes on the sides, allowing air to circulate between them and thereby increasing the surface area. This offers improved cooling, which comes in handy during gaming. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Software and performance" comment="subhead" text="Software and performance">Software and performance</cmsannotation> The WD Black SN850X can be updated and optimised with the company’s Dashboard management software that can be downloaded from its website. In addition to displaying the SSD’s information and health, the tool also offers an option to update the firmware and control the SSD. Western Digital has also offered the Game Mode 2.0 with the SN850X. This offers adaptive thermal management, predictive loading and overhead balancing. The application is easy to use and while there is not much to meddle with, it’s good to have the application. Coming to performance, the WD Black SN850X SSD comes with a NAND upgrade, which enables higher sequential-read speeds and an increased sequential-write speed. The SSD’s TLC flash memory chips have been upgraded to 112-layer chips, an upgrade from the SN850’s 96-layer TLC chips. The sequential-read speed has been upgraded from 7,000MB/s to 7,300MB/s and the sequential-write speed has been upgraded from 5,300MB/s to 6,300MB/s. During my testing, it offered a sequential read speed of 7363.74 MB/s and a sequential-write speed of 6690.06 MB/s on the CrystalDiskMark. Thermal management has also received a boost with the SN850X and during extensive gaming, the SSD hovers around 53-55 degrees, which is good. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> The WD Black SN850X 2TB SSD is an excellent option for those looking for a premium gaming SSD. You can pick between the heatsink and non-heatsink version depending on your motherboard. At the same time, this is an expensive product, which may be too expensive for some. If you are willing to splurge a bit, you will not go wrong with the SN850X.
