Ending on the wrong note! Fifth Harmony reveal Camila Cabello has quit the group... but promise to go on

They hardly have their troubles to seek at the moment.

But Fifth Harmony have been delivered a potentially fatal blow on Sunday after they revealed Camila Cabello has quit the group.

A band statement on Twitter suggests 19-year-old beauty did not even tell her fellow Work from Home stars face-to-face, despite them playing a Jingle Ball date in Florida that same day, instead delivering the decision through her management.

It comes on the back of the group, which was formed in the season two of the The X Factor USA back in 2012, having to leave Lauren Jauregui behind as they flew out to a date in Brazil last week when she was caught with drugs.

In the Twitter statement the band said: 'After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well."

'You Harmonizers have been there with us since the beginning, you've supported us, and with your love and support, we will continue on.

'That being said, we are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with the four of us- Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui for our fans.

'We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors.'

And the group insisted that the love of their fans is key to their decision to continue, rather than lucrative opportunities.

They said: 'We are excited for our future, and we can't wait for what the new year brings.

'Harmonizers, we are in this together. We love you with all of our heart.'

It remains to be seen where the band goes from here, but the only advertised date for the group in the future is a performance at the AT&T Centre in San Antonio, Texas on February 20.
