The Office of Energy Justice and Equity (EJE) understands the value of minority owned businesses and the importance of doing business with them. EJE encourages minority owned businesses to consider collaborating with the Department of Energy (DOE) on their contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements.

DOE expends approximately 90% of its budget through various contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements, making it one of the largest civilian departments in the federal government.  DOE’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) provides many resources to help small businesses do business with the Department. DOE’s OSDBU website provides information tailored to the type and experience level of small businesses interested in procuring contracts with DOE. You can go directly to Doing Business with DOE | Department of Energy for more information on contracts. Small and minority owned businesses interested in competitive grants and cooperative agreements, within different DOE program offices, can go to Funding Opportunity Announcements and Grants | Department of Energy.
