In my view it's all about connections, i.e. the network. Consequently, defining a goal in network and community development is essential. For example you could define for next year, you want to create a new network in the aerospace industry. Activities include making active connections on LinkedIn, conferences and fair grounds. This newly made connections should then be nurtured by Thought Leader Content and personal relationships.

These goals should be SMART—Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. In contrast, ineffective evaluations are often vague, lacking direction, and fail to provide concrete criteria for success. By grounding your evaluations in your original motivations, you maintain authenticity and create a deeper connection with your audience, distinguishing your thought leadership from more superficial evaluations that rely too heavily on external input.
