AJOT Premium Article: Four years ago, the U.S. – Mexico - Canada Agreement (USMCA) trade agreement became effective, replacing and updating the much-debated North American Freight Trade Agreement (NAFTA.) The Agreement was signed on November 30, 2018, following much debate from varied shareholders. When USMCA became effective in July 2020, The American Trucking Associations (ATA) and the Association of American Railroads (AAR) applauded the new agreement, which was viewed as beneficial to all three countries, leading to freer markets and trade and stimulating economic growth. #internationaltrade | #shipping
