About us
AMERICA IS ALL IN is the most expansive coalition of leaders ever assembled in support of climate action in the United States. Mobilizing thousands of U.S. cities, states, tribal nations, businesses, schools, and faith, health, and cultural institutions, the coalition is working alongside the federal government to develop a national climate strategy that meets the urgency of the climate crisis; scaling climate action around the country to empower workers and communities; and promoting the leadership of non-federal actors on the world stage. Led by UN Special Envoy Mike Bloomberg, Washington Governor Jay Inslee, Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles, Apple Vice President of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives Lisa Jackson, and former White House National Climate Advisor and 13th U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Gina McCarthy, and climate champions across the country, the coalition is working to cut U.S. emissions in half by 2030 and reach net zero emissions by 2050, while guarding against the impacts of climate disruption. Coupled with whole-of-government action on climate, AMERICA IS ALL IN champions a whole-of-society mobilization to deliver the transformational change that science demands, with the goal of a healthy, prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future.

This week, we went #AllInOnClimate in Philadelphia, PA! At the latest stop on the #AllInTour, we were able to see the incredible work of workforce development programs in Philadelphia and those programs and the state’s climate progress are supporting people across Pennsylvania. First, we headed to Mayfair Middle School to learn about their CTE Building Trades Program. As Philadelphia’s first and only Building Trades Program for middle schoolers, Mayfair Middle School students are already learning about careers in renewable energy. Next, we met with high school students from Philadelphia Energy Authority’s Bright Solar Futures program who taught us a lesson on electricity basics. The first of its kind in the nation, the program trains students in solar and battery storage installation, design, sales, weatherization, construction basics, and job site safety. We also joined in on commencement festivities and celebrated the newest graduating class of Energy Coordinating Agency (ECA)’s Green Retrofit Immersive Training (GRIT) program! The GRIT program offers training that includes hands-on labs, an internship, and placement into living wage jobs with contractors performing green home retrofits. Lastly, we held a closed door roundtable with local and national leaders focused on supercharging the #CleanEnergy transition in Philadelphia. Thank you to Philadelphia, PA for sharing a glimpse into how your communities are going #AllInOnClimate!

Last week, alongside climate champions at the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Transportation and Climate Symposium, we announced how, with strong state and Federal level policies and incentives, the U.S. can reduce GHG emissions by 56% below 2005 levels in the transportation sector by 2035.
