“Why ALEXA 65? For the sensor size and the data it can record. I had worked on IMAX in 2000 and had a bit of experience with large format. The field of view and depth of field of 65 mm is very interesting; it gives a lot as a format and is addictive. The ALEXA 65 is a versatile camera, with very good dynamic range and #ARRI’s new color science, which thankfully can be applied to older models. The #PrimeDNA lenses are gentle yet sharp, with beautiful flare. The focus fall-off is very seductive. Go behind the scenes of ARRI Solutions' support for the recent Montblanc "Meisterstück" campaign, directed by Wes Anderson. The successful campaign was shot in an LED volume with DP Linus Sandgren capturing the film's vintage, quirky feel with an analog 35 mm ARRICAM from ARRI Rental. ARRI Solutions’ specialists provided consultancy on color calibration and playback workflow development alongside Holobay, to ensure the analog and digital workflows were correctly integrated. In his podcast “Setgeflüster” (“Set Whispering”), film sound technician Benjamin Schubert interviews film and photography professionals who either work on set or provide technological or creative services.
