📢 Study Spotlight Series: Volume 1 🎉 We're excited to introduce our new monthly series, Study Spotlight, where Atlas Clinical Research shares updates on groundbreaking studies our sites have participated in and innovations in our key therapeutic areas. For our inaugural post, we're celebrating a monumental achievement! The Atlas Clinical Research team, through our Rochester Clinical Research site, is incredibly proud to have contributed to Moderna's newly FDA-approved respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine, mRESVIA® (mRNA-1345). This revolutionary vaccine, designed to protect adults aged 60+ from severe RSV infections, is Moderna's second approved product and the only RSV vaccine available in single-dose pre-filled syringes. This milestone showcases the strength of Moderna's mRNA platform, marking the first mRNA vaccine approved for a disease other than COVID-19. The Phase 3 ConquerRSV trial, involving about 37,000 adults across 22 countries, demonstrated an impressive 83.7% efficacy against RSV lower respiratory tract disease. 📊 We are proud to have played a critical role in this advancement, which promises to significantly reduce the RSV burden among older adults. We look forward to supporting Moderna as they continue their research and approval process for use in other key populations.
