  • Exciting news! Our ALL STARS program, developed in partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings, was nominated for an ESPY Award. The program has given more than 2.3 million youth the chance to be a part of a team at thousands of local Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation. Coaching within the ALL STARS program is anchored in principles of participation, inclusion, and youth development. ALL STARS isn't about trophies, but it's good to know we've got the sauce when it comes to building award-worthy programs! Learn more about this year's nominees: https://lnkd.in/gKG9axN7

  • Yesterday we had a blast at our national office celebrating our favorite week of the year, Boys & Girls Club Week! Our staff took a well-deserved break and played retro arcade games and trivia, and we also kicked off 5 years of partnership with Papa Johns! Thank you for supporting great futures across our Clubs and of course, supplying great pizza! 🍕 🎮 💙 #BGCWeek #GreatFutures

  • We are thrilled to announce that our 2024 National Youth of the Year event will be co-chaired by Bill Rogers, chairman and chief executive officer of Truist Financial Corporation, and Allison Dukes, chief financial officer at Invesco Ltd. The Youth of the Year program honors and celebrates the nation’s most inspiring teens and their incredible journeys. Young people are recognized for their outstanding leadership, service, academic excellence, and dedication to health and wellbeing; it is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club youth can receive. Each year, one exceptional young person is named National Youth of the Year, representing Boys & Girls Clubs of America as a teen ambassador, and serving as a voice for millions of Club youth across the country. As co-chairs of the National Youth of the Year leadership committee, Rogers and Dukes will work collaboratively with fellow business and community leaders, professionals, and philanthropists to help elevate the event, strengthen its impact, and raise critical funds so even more young people can experience the life-enhancing programs offered at Boys & Girls Clubs. Thank you, Bill and Allison, for your support and dedication to empowering youth!

  • Education is a major family value for Shannon, mom to four daughters. Their local Boys & Girls Club kept academic success at the forefront for their family. At the Club, Shannon’s daughters found academic programs to keep them on track and college prep support to become the first in their family to attend college. Now, they serve as positive role models for the next generation of Club kids. At Boys & Girls Clubs, one of our top priorities is ensuring all youth have the tools and support to be successful both in life and at school. But we know it takes a lot to make the grade. Academic programming at Boys & Girls Clubs is intentionally designed to complement and reinforce what youth learn during the school day, while creating experiences to spark inspiration and invite curiosity. A sense of belonging is critical to the safety and success of youth, and a pillar of Boys & Girls Clubs’ mission. Celebrating Pride Month helps LGBTQ+ identifying youth and staff feel welcome and celebrated at the Club, as well as teaches everyone about the power of belonging.
