#Bioplastic is a plastic material produced from renewable biomass such as corn, sugar cane and cellulose, which plays a crucial role in the bioeconomy. 🍃 By using renewable resources, it helps to reduce the carbon footprint and dependence on fossil fuels, contributing to climate change mitigation and reducing persistent plastic waste in the environment. 🌍 Economically, bioplastics foster new markets and job opportunities. Socially, they promote job creation and raise awareness of sustainable practices and the transition to a circular economy. Think big, be #Bio(Gov.net) #BioGovNet

BioGov.net reposted this
The time is NOW… … to shape mentalities, …. to take action, …. to explore new paths to bioeconomy. We, at BioGov.net project, understand the importance of bioeconomy education. 💡Exploring innovative governance models and co-creating guidelines for training and mentoring in this field are our mission. At the General Assembly in Thessaloniki on 13. – 14. June, we share the key takeaways from the regional policy workshops being organised in 8 EU pilot regions: ❇ Art and inclusivity are the most appreciated aspects of innovative models in bioeconomy education. ❇Practical case studies and best practices are extremely valuable tools for advancing the inclusion of circular bioeconomy. ❇ More awareness activities about bioeconomy and its advantages are requested to be organised in collaboration with schools, universities, training centres and regional/ national authorities, as well as private companies. 💡 The validation of the guidelines for setting up regional bioeconomy training and mentoring programs are also on the agenda. They will integrate also creative ideas and sustainable practices from art, culture, and eco-design. We invite you to build a bridge between knowledge and skills in the bioeconomy with us! #BioGovNet_project #bioeconomy #education #CatchUsIfYouCan
