A few months back, I was asked by my friends at Profitero and MikMak to participate in the BRAVE COMMERCE Podcast Live Executive Summit in NYC! I love going to New York but this one hit differently. To be in NYC, in a room with the best and brightest in digital commerce was an honor itself. But to be asked to speak on stage was humbling. Not bad for a farm boy from Hanover, PA 👨🌾. Who knows what joke I’m telling in the first comment below?!?! 😝 😂 😆 For the stage, I was asked to participate in a Controversial Commerce Hot Topic Debate with Nick Marple where we unpacked The Best Org Structure for Commerce Success. We had a blast playfully “debating,” but the truth is - like many things- “it depends.” The Best org structure is unique to each organization and where they are in their maturity curve. Nick had my vote in the debate when he pulled out the bag of Utz potato chips on stage! Certainly beyond Nick and I, there were many sessions great sessions focused on Amplifying Growth in the Era of Intelligent Commerce including the Art of Brand Building, Evolving with the Eras of Commerce, the Evolution of Content, All Things AI with industry experts and a session on the role of Bravery in Commerce Innovation.
