We had an amazing time at The Red Hook Winery in Brooklyn for our summer team event! It was a perfect day filled with delicious wine and great company while exploring a connection to a community that is supported by one of our clients, Red Hook Initiative. Our team recently visited the Center for Family Life in Sunset Park (CFL), a neighborhood-based family and social services organization with deep roots in the Brooklyn community. Since its founding in 1958, this incredible organization has harnessed the power of literature to spark imagination, speak to the heart, and open minds, all while fostering possibilities in both classrooms and workplaces.   Award-winning author Jacqueline Woodson was awarded the James Baldwin Award, which pays homage to an East Harlem hero and literary genius. This award celebrates writers and activists who continue Baldwin's legacy of building love, equity, and justice through the written word.   Thank you to everyone who made this event so impactful. Thank you, NYN Media, for hosting the 2024 Nonprofit OpCon! BTQ Portfolio Manager Naima Chisolm and fellow panelists tackled the challenges of maintaining nonprofit financial health. They discussed regulatory changes, managing diverse funding, and tracking costs, providing strategies and resources to enhance financial fluency and management systems. We were thrilled to see so many of our partners at the OpCon 2024 event, and it was wonderful to catch up with Robert Cordero and team from Grand Street Settlement and other partners! BTQ Financial was honored to sponsor and attend the Riis Settlement 2024 Spring Event yesterday, June 5, 2024. We celebrated the fantastic work being done in our community. This event honored two esteemed individuals: Frank Monterisi, Executive Vice President of Related Companies, and Robert Madison, Associate Executive Director of Riis Settlement.   Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement is a community-based non-profit organization in Western Queens. It provides comprehensive services and support to help youth, adults, seniors, and families achieve their full potential and economic self-sufficiency across eight program sites.   Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to this incredible cause.
