Our annual Well Worth It Drive-Thru BBQ is just around the corner! Did you know that more people perish each year from unsafe water and poor sanitation than from all forms of violence combined, including war? Children, especially, suffer greatly from these conditions. That's why Cannon initiated the Well Worth It campaign, partnering with charity: water to eradicate water-related illnesses and unhygienic living environments by installing wells in communities lacking clean water. Purchase your Well Worth It BBQ ticket today to support this vital cause and help build clean water projects worldwide! https://lnkd.in/g7haUNi4 #WellWorthIt #Drive-ThruBBQ

The CA Central Coast APWA Chapter (American Public Works Association) presented the City of San Luis Obispo with the Project of the Year Award in the Disaster or Emergency Construction/Repair (>$5-$25 million) category for the San Luis Obispo Bank Stabilization Project on San Luis Drive! This project was also recognized by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) San Luis Obispo Branch for Outstanding Flood Management Project for 2024. The project, aimed at mitigating damage caused by winter storms, involved constructing a soldier pile retaining wall and a 350-foot-long concrete wall along San Luis Drive. Cannon's design expertise facilitated the construction of a creek diversion pipe and a soil nail wall, crucial elements in protecting nearby homes and utilities. Despite challenges, including a year-long repair process, the project was completed just in time to withstand subsequent storms. Congratulations to all involved in this vital infrastructure project! As we prepare to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class of 2024 at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), it's a fitting time to reflect on the significant role we've played in shaping the future of the campus. Selected to spearhead the development of the Cal Poly Utility Master Plan, Cannon collaborated closely with other consultants to address crucial infrastructure needs. The team's approach involved evaluating the current state of the sanitary sewer, water, storm drain, and utility gas systems. We didn't just stop there; we integrated sustainability and efficiency components into our recommendations, aligning with Cal Poly's commitment to environmental stewardship. As we look ahead, our work lays the groundwork for future expansion and development, ensuring that Cal Poly continues to thrive for generations to come. Congratulations to all graduating this Spring! #CalPoly #EngineeringExcellence #Graduation2024
