Charter Dura-Bara is a 383,000-square-foot metal foundry that is a global leader in the production of engineered continuous cast-iron bars in multiple grades of iron. Their on-site finishing operations allow them to deliver bars to the exact specifications of our customers and channel partners. #MetalsMonday

We’re thrilled to share that Angelo Lopez, an Electrical Maintenance Technician at our Saukville Charter Steel Plant, has won the Employee Referral Raffle Prize! Angelo has been with Charter for an impressive 29 years. His favorite aspect? The fantastic team members he works with. He’s even referred a current Finishing Operator team member at Saukville. Angelo was pleasantly surprised to win the raffle and is eagerly looking forward to cooking up a storm on his new griddle and pizza oven and sharing delicious meals with his son. Congratulations, Angelo!

Congrats to Rene, a Cold-Forming Set-up Apprentice at Charter Wire, for earning his GED through GEDWorks! Rene joined Charter just a few months ago and quickly achieved this milestone with support from his supervisor and our free GED program. Rene says, “This is hands-down the most welcoming and positive vibe of anywhere I’ve ever worked. Everyone is very friendly and extremely positive. The final winner of Charter’s CEO Award for CI Excellence for outstanding CI and Teamwork is our Charter Steel Fostoria Path to 11 Annealing Furnaces team. This broad, multi-department effort utilized PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) methodology to improve annealing furnace performance in our Fostoria, Ohio processing facility. As a result of their efforts, uptime improved and performance increased. Great job! #CharterCI #CharterTeamwork
