A hospital struggling to control waterborne pathogens installed a Sanipur SANIKILL® monochloramine disinfection system to help treat their potable water. Over 16 months, water samples from 15 hot water sampling sites and municipal water supplies were analyzed for microbial pathogens, including Legionella. After implementing the monochloramine system, Legionella culture assays decreased from 68% to 6%. Read the full evaluation by the EPA to learn more: https://hubs.li/Q02CFmmw0

After switching from baseload operation to cycling, a combined cycle power plant observed increased iron transport levels in their HRSGs during startups. Applying traditional filming amine reduced iron transport, but increased cation conductivity levels in the condensate. Looking for an alternative solution, the plant decided to trial ChemTreat's non-amine filming product BL9000. The application resulted in a 0.7 µmho decrease in cation conductivity while maintaining iron levels at <10 ppb.
