80 years ago today (July 23 1944) The Day's Pay landed at the Hanford Airport to be christened in front of thousands of people, including many Hanford Engineering Works employees who donated a day's pay to purchase a B-17 Flying Fortress for the US Army Air Corps. https://lnkd.in/gqRraqzh

Employee Spotlight In honor of National Parks and Recreation Professionals Day, we would like to take a moment to thank one of our BEST! Richland Parks and Recreation Coordinator Stan Johnson is awesome! With over 33 years of service, Stan was awarded the City Manager’s first ever, ‘Employee Culture Champion Award’ earlier this year. One of his most commendable traits is his ability to assume positive intent in others, which fosters trust and collaboration. He extends this positivity beyond the workplace by coaching and developing the city's younger workforce and instilling strong values in youth sports officials. Stan is known for his accountability, dedication, and commitment to completing tasks successfully. Always ready to help, he demonstrates reliability and a strong commitment to the team's success. Despite numerous professional and personal achievements, he remains humble and kind, creating an inclusive and supportive environment. His positive nature resonates beyond the office, impacting the community through events and programs including youth sports, Cool Desert Nights, and See3Slam. His dedication has left a lasting legacy. Thank you, Stan – and good luck as a competitor in the Ironman 70.3 Triathlon!
