This week, the City of San Diego's Public Utilities Department hosted members of the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board for a tour of San Vicente Reservoir and Dam. Thanks to two consecutive wet winters, the City is on track to use local water for more than 25% of our water supply this year, up from a typical yearly average of 10-15%! 💧   The City’s nine drinking water supply reservoirs and dams are crucial for increasing our use of local water and diversifying our water supply. As part of the tour, staff demonstrated how water is moved between reservoirs and drafted to our water treatment plants for use. They also touched on the City’s Dam Safety Program and highlighted several ongoing projects. #SanDiego
