Summer Fellow David Kilroy celebrated Matcha’s prototype launch at the Brooklyn Army Terminal with the New York City Economic Development Corporation. Check out David’s post below to see who was there, and to learn more about what Matcha is doing as a climate venture! 👇 Congrats Jonathan F Sobin and Chris Kluesener! #prototype #launch #innovation
"The major barrier to adoption of more EVs is charging. Our goal is to make EV charging accessible and convenient for everyone, particularly for renters. We’re not just providing chargers; we’re delivering charging.” — Chris Kluesener, CEO, Matcha Yesterday, I joined the Matcha team (Chris and Jonathan F Sobin) at the Brooklyn Army Terminal (BAT) in Sunset Park to represent ClimateHaven as a part of my Beckenstein Climate Leaders Fellowship. During the launch event, Matcha and the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) celebrated participation in the Pilots at BAT program which brings climate innovation projects to Brooklyn. With Matcha’s recent approval from NYSERDA as an EV charging provider, qualified properties can receive turnkey chargers at no cost in New York. Matcha's charging deployments create access to electric vehicles. As a renter that can’t charge at home, I personally need solutions like this before I can buy an EV. Speakers included Jonathan Schulhof, NYCEDC EVP and head of Innovation Industries; Chris Kluesener, CEO, Matcha; Randy Peers, President & CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce; Elta Koliou, The Ad Hoc Group

Dear Founders -- When it comes to earning revenue, knowing the market is the most important step. Whether you are selling hard tech durables or soft tech services, acquiring capital is going to look a lot different depending on your product. In the 20th issue of the Startup Playbook Blog, former ClimateHaven Startup Advisor (and former CEO) Ryan Dings discusses the key factors to establishing a foundation of revenue in the early stages of the startup life cycle. This post is structured around the three questions founders should ask themselves when analyzing a plan for gaining revenue: 1. What are you selling? 2. How are you selling? 3. How are you going to finance it all? To learn more, click the link below for The Startup Playbook, No. 20 - The Race to Revenue: A Climate Tech Marathon. 👇 https://lnkd.in/dTzhgSAZ
