Community Concepts Maine reposted this
As we prepare for construction on our 175 MW / 350 MWh Cross Town Energy Storage facility, the Plus Power team is delighted to meet groups in the Gorham and Southern Maine community who are improving the lives of our neighbors. We were honored to announce our support for these groups during Monday’s groundbreaking event: Community Concepts Maine in Lewiston works to provide pathways to a healthy life for and with those most impacted by inequities in Western Maine through programs, partnerships, and advocacy. Since 1965, Community Concepts has offered a variety of housing, economic development, and social services to support the basic needs of families and promote self-sufficiency. After the tragic mass shooting in Lewiston in October, Community Concepts established the Maine Resiliency Center to offer a place of healing and support to the individuals and families who were impacted. For more than a quarter of a century, the Friends of the Presumpscot River has worked passionately to restore and protect the vitality of the small but mighty river that runs through Gorham, Windham, Westbrook, Falmouth, and Portland. The group’s efforts have improved water quality, restored migratory fish populations, and increased public awareness of the Presumpscot's economic and recreational potential. The Gorham Arts Alliance serves to inspire, enrich, and strengthen the surrounding community by offering cultural and educational experiences through the arts. This terrific group encourages creativity and life-long learning, by supporting the arts within the school system; providing out-of-school opportunities and fostering community relationships that encourage and support the arts; increasing access to the arts for those from underserved rural, isolated, and intergenerational communities; and inspiring creativity while integrating the arts into the natural world. We thank these groups for all they do to serve the community! #maine #batterystorage

Today we're sharing #gratitude for the team at Northeast Bank and their continued support of our programs. Last week, representatives from the bank met with our CEO, Jim Martin, and presented our staff with a donation of $5,000. Donations like these keep our services running when grant funding falls short and are critical to our ability to serve those in need. Thank you, Northeast Bank!
