The Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA) is a professional trade association.
About us
Business travel is essential to today’s global economy. But, leaving the comforts of home and living out of a suitcase in a hotel can be a source of stress, loneliness and exhaustion. When business travel calls for longer stays, job relocation, internships, training or special projects, corporate housing is an excellent lodging choice to the cramped confines of a hotel room or the unpredictability of the sharing economy. Corporate housing is a professionally managed and rented furnished residential property for individuals, families and corporations, usually for longer than 30 days. It provides a variety of housing solutions in places you want to be, including apartments, condos, and single-family homes for people to use. Your temporary home is move-in ready. The convenience and comfort of having furniture, utilities, housewares and amenities already set up is part of the service that makes corporate housing a great fit in many situations. CHPA fosters opportunities for corporate housing providers and their partners through networking, education, professional certification, company accreditation, quality assessment programs and information sharing. CHPA members grow their businesses and expand their reach through an international network of partners, allowing them to serve travelers wherever they may need. As all CHPA members agree to abide by a code of ethics and access the latest industry trends and information, travelers can rest assured they are working with a professional. CHPA offers members the opportunity to showcase their expertise and professionalism through a number of programs. To see if an industry partner is committed to providing the best service, ask these three things: 1. are they a Certified Corporate Housing Professional (CCHP)? 2. is the company an accredited member of CHPA? and 3. Has the company been quality assessed? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, you know you are working with a true professional!

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of a beloved member, Matt Was, GMS, CCHP. Matt served as the inaugural chair of CHPA’s legislative advocacy task force and was pivotal in the development of the CH 101 course. He also served as a crucial creative mind for CHPA’s signature event, Connect. The entire CHPA community will miss him dearly; our hearts go out to his family and the Blueground team.
Honoring Matt Was: A True Leader and Beloved Colleague It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Matt Was, GMS, CCHP, our esteemed Head of Mobility Partnerships, who lost his courageous battle with cancer last Thursday. Matt joined Blueground three years ago as a Senior Account Manager on the Blueground for Business team and quickly rose to become our Head of Mobility Partnerships. His passion for the corporate housing industry was unparalleled, and he was determined to make Blueground a top provider in the competitive mobility sector. Matt's leadership, dedication, and tireless work ethic pushed us to perfect our product and service. He believed wholeheartedly in the future of corporate housing and was a staunch advocate for Blueground's role in it. More than anything, Matt made his clients his friends and his colleagues his family. At just 35 years old, Matt's cancer diagnosis came less than a year ago. Despite this, he led our team with unwavering strength and positivity, embracing life to its fullest and inspiring us all. Matt's legacy will forever be imprinted on our hearts and within the walls of our organization. Rest in peace, Matt. You will be dearly missed, but your spirit and legacy will live on in all of us. Revisit LOVE + RELO's interview with Matt last year in the link in the comments to learn about his courageous battle.
