  • Crosby partnered with SPARK (Share Peace And Rekindle Kindness) this Spring Break for some impactful service opportunities! Here's what Crosby X SPARK accomplished: Monday: Service at the Dwelling and Community Coat Closet! Tuesday: Packed 896 shelf-stable food bags for Easton Elementary! Wednesday: Sanded and repainted a dresser, dining room table & side table to help families transitioning to housing from unhousing. 41 students participated, with 5 amazing guardians lending a hand! We are so grateful to Amber Harris, Carlyn Bell, and the SPARK team for coordinating these opportunities. Do you remember serving the community as a Crosby Scholar? #CrosbyScholarsAlum #SPARK #CommunityService

  • We were honored to host college students from Wake Forest University's Organization of Latin American Students (OLAS) at Crosby! These inspiring young adults shared their college experiences with our students, offering valuable insights and advice. The Wake Forest students openly discussed the challenges and triumphs of being Latino in college, their motivations for pursuing higher education, and the journeys that led them to their chosen majors. Our Crosby students had the opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable guidance about navigating the college application process and preparing for college life. The day wasn't all academics! The students also participated in a fun team-building activity, fostering a sense of camaraderie and connection. We are so grateful to the OLAS students for sharing their time and wisdom with our Crosby scholars. Their visit was an enriching experience that undoubtedly sparked excitement and aspirations for the future! #WakeForest #OLAS #CrosbyScholars #Hlms

  • We're excited to share the inspiring journey of Jewel Moser, one of our remarkable Crosby Scholars! Jewel's story is a testament to perseverance and passion for design. Her path from Parkland IB Magnet High School to North Carolina A&T State University has been marked by her commitment to her dreams. Jewel's dedication to her craft led her to take an extra year in college to switch her major to Fashion Merchandising and Design, a bold move that has since paid off. Her internship experiences at Tory Burch and Belk have been instrumental in shaping her into the talented designer she is today, with a clothing line launch that just launched today, March 11th. 💫Let’s show her some love and shop her line at Belk! Jewel Moser x Crown & Ivy | Belk https://lnkd.in/eS2mUfQD photo courtesy of Belk #CrosbyScholars #JewelMoser #SupportLocal
