Custom Engineering specializes as a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system design consultant for construction and rehabilitation projects in commercial and industrial facilities. With each of our tenured design professionals concurrently serving as project lead representatives, our team ensures no project is under-valued. Custom Engineering provides one point of contact from project start to project finish, ensuring continuity of knowledge and correspondence for our clients. Our size provides a knowledge pool of diversity for team collaboration on project strategies and scopes requiring multiple disciplines and ranging in size from small rehabs to multi-million-dollar facilities. Custom Engineering also provides design of technology infrastructure including IT and network systems, communications rooms, voice and data systems, and backbone cabling. We also provide building commissioning services with certified commissioning agent on staff as well as a Local Project Agency (LPA) certified construction managers. Custom Engineering has been a certified MBE/DBE since 1992. We are a proud member of the United States Green Building Council promoting the design, construction and operation of high performance buildings. With multiple LEED® Accredited Professionals on staff, Custom Engineering is committed to designing a whole-building approach to energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality. Custom Engineering is on the leading edge of REVIT MEP building information modeling (BIM) and using BIM 360 Glue software to fly through the model and assist in clash detection. We are also proficient with Navisworks collision software and A360. We had a great time touring Operation Breakthrough last week and learning about how they help the underserved in the community. Operation Breakthrough provides a safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty and empowers their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education. After the thour, we were given the opprotunity to work with the K-8 students in some of their zone/lab spaces.

It's a big win for our own St. Louis team and the City of St. Louis! Custom Engineering will be providing electrical engineering support for the north-south expansion of the MetroLink in St. Louis, MO. We are thrilled to announce that our team's application for #RenewAmericasNonprofits Grant was selected!! Hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), we are one of 9 grantees chosen from applications across 30 states! In partnership with Mid-America Regional Council, Community Capital Fund, Entegrity, Custom Engineering, Inc., United Way of Greater Kansas City and Metropolitan Energy Center, we expect to serve 25 non-profits with over $5M in energy efficiency investments over the next 3 years.
