On 9/28/2023, O'Hare's Multi-Modal Facility recieved the 'Citation of Merit' from AIA Chicago in the category of Extra Large Projects . Representing Delta on stage was Mourad Djendi, Engineer of Record for mechanical design. Delta was also the EOR for plumbing and fire protection. Congratulations to the project team and stakeholders which include TranSystems, Ross Barney Architects, Austin Power Partners, and the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) - O'Hare & Midway International Airports

Delta Engineering Group proudly introduces Nadir Shah, MSCE, SE as Senior Structural Bridge Engineer. Nadir demonstrated his structural expertise at all levels from design to management during his 30+ year tenure at Cook County Dept. of Transportation and Highways. As Structural Division Head and NBIS Certified Program Manager, Nadir supervised the inspection of 130+ structures performed in-house by four Team Leaders. We look forward to Nadir’s continued contributions to our industry and collaborations with the rest of the engineering community!

Ross Barney Architects is proud to be announced as a FINALIST in @AIAChicago's Design Excellence Award! 🏅 The new 3 million square feet, Multi-Modal Terminal at O’Hare International Airport is a welcoming gateway to Chicago. ✈️ Connected to the airline terminals by an extension of the Airport Transit System (people mover), it is a soaring, sun-filled terminal that serves rental car companies, suburban train services, and regional buses. The commissioned original art for the project, curated by Theaster Gates, includes ‘Horizon Light’ by James Carpenter, ‘Field Lines’ by Rob Ley, ‘Palimpsest’ by Nick Cave, and ‘Reach’ by Hank Willis Thomas and Coby Kennedy. The LEED Silver certified terminal removes 1.3 million vehicles each year from the central terminal roadways, reducing traffic and carbon dioxide emissions in the airport core.
