“From attacking overtime pay, student loans, and reproductive rights, to allowing more discrimination, pollution, and price gouging, those behind Project 2025 are preparing to go to incredible lengths to create a country only for some...” – Skye Perryman (she/her) https://lnkd.in/g42YBsMq
About us
Democracy depends on a government that works for all people. Since 2017, Democracy Forward has filed over 650 legal actions and records requests challenging unlawful acts, fought vigorously in court on behalf of those harmed, and notched victories that have improved lives and protected the rule of law. In statehouses, courtrooms, and communities across the country, we still see threats to democracy every day. Democracy Forward is expanding to use new strategies that oppose abuses of power and fight for the promise of democracy on behalf of all Americans.

Incredibly proud of the litigation team at Democracy Forward. This is what we mean when we say don't do our opponents' work for them when it comes to the attacks on DEI. In too many of these cases, the parties have simply folded, but our clients are pushing back in the name of racial diversity and broader inclusion. Yesterday, we received a big win in that the case will be able to proceed to discovery instead of the racial diversity inclusion provision being immediately struck down or pushed aside in backroom deals. Learn more here. AAER v. Ivey is one in a series of challenges by special interests to roll back diversity and inclusion efforts across the country. *** Montgomery, AL – A federal judge in the Middle District of Alabama today has sided with Black real estate professionals and denied a motion by the American Alliance for Equal Rights (AAER) –an organization that has challenged pro-diversity and other equal opportunity measures across the country. If granted, AAER’s motion would have eliminated Alabama’s long-standing requirement that the state’s Appraisers Board include two racial minorities.
