"'Everybody panic, AI is coming for your job!' We've heard this repeatedly, as doomsayers complete a surface analysis of almost every industry and see a future where humans are no longer necessary, and robots control the world. "It’s a tale as old as time when it comes to technology; for those who remember the release of the iPhone and the dawn of the Internet, fear is one of the primary early reactions to any innovation, and fear-mongering sells tickets (or drives engagement). "While there is certainly a lot left to shake out before we know what the true impact of generative AI is going to be on the workforce as a whole, I have a significantly more optimistic outlook than the fire-and-brimstone pundits, particularly when it comes to tech professionals and the future of tech work." This is just some of what Dice/DHI Group, Inc. CEO Art Zeile will be publishing on Monday at 9:00 a.m. MT in Part 4 of his LinkedIn series: From Calculated Risks to Quantum Leaps: Charting the Course for Tech Talent in Flux. Let's talk company culture fit with recruiter Miranda Krayca and Paul Farnsworth, CTO at DHI Group, Inc. "Lots of people are realizing that, while having a job is great, having a job with a company that matches the values and what's important is also just as important as skills." #DiceHamsterWheel #CompanyCulture #CultureFit

Combining ransomware with ongoing massive data breaches, such as the one reported by AT&T and Disney, means that tech professionals will remain busy either responding to incidents or trying to head off potential threats throughout the rest of 2024, said J Stephen Kowski, MSEE, JD, field CTO security firm SlashNext. "We expect breaches and ransomware attacks to continue increasing in the second half of 2024, especially targeting healthcare, critical infrastructure and supply chains,” Kowski told Dice. “Recent high-profile incidents, such as the healthcare and car dealership vendor hacks, highlight the ongoing vulnerabilities. To combat this, organizations need to focus on strengthening email security, implementing zero trust architectures and improving threat detection and response capabilities.” #DiceCareerAdvice #Cybersecurity #CyberAttack
