FEMP Director Mary Sotos and FEMP Deputy Director Anna J Siefken gave opening remarks today to a group of energy service companies (ESCOs) holding a 2023 U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC), Generation 4 (Gen4) indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract. ESCOs develop, design, build, and arrange financing for projects that save energy, reduce energy costs, and decrease operations and maintenance costs at their customers' facilities. ESCOs are crucial partners for federal agencies as they work to meet sustainability goals. Learn more about ESPCs and how to become a DOE Qualified ESCO: https://lnkd.in/gT-4YB-T

FEMP Deputy Director Anna J Siefken was recently interviewed on the Electric Ladies podcast and featured in a Forbes Women article talking about how FEMP is reducing the federal government's carbon footprint. 🎧🎙️ "We analyze the management mandates, the energy management mandates that come out, and we help agencies understand what they need to do to meet those legislative goals. We do analysis and strategy, so we help work alongside the agencies to identify the short and long-term opportunities and how they can…save money and to meet these higher goals. We do it through execution and funding.” Learn more about how FEMP works and how communities and agencies can benefit from us: https://lnkd.in/gDh4seVV
