Welcome to the 7th IWA International Conference on eco-Technologies for Wastewater Treatment to be held from 23rd to 26th of June 2025 in Stockholm, Sweden. Increasing population and climate change directly affect water-related subjects such as water quality, scarcity, and resource recovery. Despite innovative developments in the water/wastewater area, many technology developments in the lab-, and pilot scale cannot reach the water market. Eco-STP 2025 aims to bring professionals from both academia and industry to discuss cutting-edge technologies in both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment including water, energy and material recovery, sustainability, sewage epidemiology, and governmental decision mechanisms. The conference program includes keynote presentations, plenary sessions with presentations of recent research results, poster pitch presentations, specialised courses, workshops including ongoing EU Europe projects, panel discussions, technical study visits and social programmes. The conference aims to bring together researchers from different disciplines, technology providers, consulting engineering firms, utilities and other relevant societal actors to jointly discuss and explore the latest findings on processes, methods, and technologies for innovative solutions in a Water-Wise World. Some of the key topics are · Resource recovery for circular cities · Centralized and decentralized ecotechnological and management alternatives · Water Reuse · Digitalization · Nature-based solutions · Sustainability assessment The conference will be organized by two established and pioneer research groups at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Mälardalen University, Sweden. We look forward to welcoming you to Stockholm in June 2025!
