Iran on Thursday released a 1 million barrel cargo of Iraqi crude bound for Turkey that was seized in January, according to the Greek owner of the tanker, which continues to be held in Iranian waters. "The cargo was transferred today in a ship-to-ship operation arranged and managed directly by the charterer following their negotiation with the Iranian authorities," a spokesperson for Empire Navigation, which owns the St Nikolas, told Energy Intelligence.
