  • The FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific team members laced up their sneakers to join the CHOC Children's Walk at Disneyland, a magical event hosted by the Children's Hospital of Orange County to raise crucial funds for children in need of medical care. #ItsAFujifilmThing

Early Sunday morning, our FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific team walked in support of an incredible cause. Every year, the Children’s Hospital of Orange County hosts the CHOC Walk at Disneyland, bringing our community together to raise funds for children in need of medical care and we are so proud to have been a sponsor again this year. It was such an inspirational experience to take part in giving our world more smiles!

  • FUJIFILM North America Corporation’s Electronic Imaging Division and Optical Devices Division VP, Victor Ha, reflects on the recent New York Times article exploring “The 25 Photos That Defined the Modern Age.” Fujifilm’s legacy is rooted in the power of images and in recognizing this medium’s impactful potential, we have been able to develop industry-leading and award-winning #camera technology so that we can continue to document the next generation of #photographs that define our society. 📸

It has been a minute since The New York Times published “The 25 Photos That Defined the Modern Age” article, and I'm still thinking about the images. They depict some of the most terrifying and wonderful things about us, which could only be made possible because of the powerful medium of #photography. The way we make images has changed over time, but the way those images make us feel is impervious to change. This has never been more true given the moments we have lived through these past few weeks. Thank you, M. H. Miller, Brendan Embser, Emmanuel Iduma and Lucy McKeon for reminding me of why I do my work in this industry. If you haven’t read it, check it out: https://lnkd.in/eF5gBYgr

  • This week, members of our Corporate Communications team had the opportunity to travel to #NYC for the 2024 #MeltwaterSummit and immerse themselves in thought-provoking panels and discussions by industry leaders. The icing on the cake? A few words of wisdom from Ryan Reynolds. Our team left with pages of notes and inspiration and shared some of their biggest takeaways and gems 💎⬇️:   🤝 Danielle Brown: Don’t pass up an opportunity to network, engage and learn from other people’s and companies’ successes AND failures. We’re all in this together and can learn from one another.   💡 Marissa Adamo (Confredo): As creatives and writers, we have all been taunted with the dreaded blank document. When we have writer’s block or are overthinking a project, it’s important to walk away and come back to it. Also, engage and collaborate with your fellow teammates and colleagues from different departments. You never know where inspiration can spark!   📖 Daniel Carpenter: Lean on storytelling to get your message across. Not only can it help improve recall of your products/services, but, when done right, can create a lasting emotional connection with your brand.

Expectations: exceeded 📈 ! What a fantastic few days spent at NYC's The Glasshouse for the 2024 #MeltwaterSummit. From interactive panel discussions to informative keynote sessions, the summit provided a platform to exchange ideas, learn from experts, and explore the latest trends in all things #communications. A highlight for me (aside from getting to spend time with my team Marissa Adamo (Confredo) and Daniel Carpenter), was hearing from Andrew Paxton *I mean* Ryan Reynolds himself (#IYKYK) share tips for succeeding in the world of communications (or really ... as a human in general). We don't gatekeep wisdom, so here's a sneak peek: 🔸 Lead with integrity.  🔸 Accept the fact that we're all operating on a spectrum of "winging it." 🔸 Sometimes you have to be a SWAT team and embrace "fastvertising" to capitalize on your window of opportunity. "Too much time and too much money can assassinate creativity." 🔸 What if success doesn't happen right away? Sometimes people get stuck in an outcome or an idea. If it hasn't manifested in some way, put it on the back burner for now, as you must keep moving. 🔸 When it comes to working with folks who are challenging or who just see things differently than you do, you don't have to agree with a person, you just have to try to experience their POV. If you can validate and emphasize, you can diffuse. Stop trying to win, you'll keep losing (though Ryan has confirmed this rarely works with a 4 y/o).  🔸 Respect whatever project you're working on. Similarly, make sure you're interested in what you're working on. "The things I've done that are the most successful are the things that are sparked by joy."  🔸 It's okay to hate writing - Ryan does. But if you work hard at it, "it can save your butt." 🔸 If you fail a few times you might not get another chance if you are a [insert four letter word here]. If you're kind, people will help you back up," - Ryan, obviously.  🔸 "I have imposter syndrome like everyone else," - Ryan, somehow.  🔸 Embracing diversity / different POVs is a requirement, it's how you win on every level: "Be a skin covered suggestion box," - Ryan, of course. A big thank you to the organizers, speakers, fellow attendees and obviously Ryan, for making the 2024 Meltwater Summit a platform for a thousand+ skin covered suggestion boxes to connect and exchange ideas. I'm smarter today than I was on Monday. #MeltwaterSummit2024 #ProfessionalDevelopment #ItsAFujifilmThing #LifeAtFujifilm FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation
