We're honored to have the 2024 Genesis GV60 named the top small premium SUV for the second consecutive year as part of J.D. Power's 2024 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study. GV60 topped the study in six categories, including powertrain, driving comfort, interior, driving feel, getting in/out and setting up/starting. “At Genesis, we design our products with the customer top of mind,” said Claudia Marquez, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America. “GV60 delivers on this commitment with its sleek silhouette, dynamic high-efficiency motor and host of advanced technologies. We are pleased our customers continue to recognize the excellent design and performance of GV60, our first dedicated EV, in the J.D. Power APEAL Study.” GV60 was introduced in 2022 as Genesis’ first dedicated electric model. With its distinctive athletic exterior and interior inspired by classic Korean architecture, GV60 embodies the brand’s design ethos of Athletic Elegance and the Beauty of White Space. Its interior features a spacious layout that incorporates upcycled materials with leading safety and technology features. GV60 also features world-first innovative technologies, such as Face Connect and Crystal Sphere, allowing the driver to further connect with and personalize their driving experience. We recently hosted a workshop with our partner Child Creativity Lab during the MOLAA | Museum of Latin American Art bilingual summer youth program, where children developed concepts for and built their own future mobility vehicles using reclaimed and upcycled materials. Program participants also received a special look at the electrified Genesis GV60. At Genesis, we believe quality STEAM education programs unleash a love of learning in children. Genesis has triumphed at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed, securing a remarkable victory in the 4-seater production car category with its GV60 Magma Concept. Swiftly following the announcement of the car coming to Europe in 2025, the GV60 Magma Concept demonstrated its exceptional capabilities on the hillclimb, claiming not only the class win, but also achieving an impressive 16th place overall in the weekend's Shootout. Race and rally driver Gethin Jones, who piloted GV60 Magma Concept up the hill during the timed Shootout and throughout the weekend, commented on the unique development process that contributed to the car's success: "Driving the GV60 Magma Concept at Goodwood was a rewarding experience. The car's responsiveness and power were impressive throughout the event, and its ability to handle the hillclimb with such precision is a testament to the engineering excellence behind it." Genesis GV60 Magma Concept showcased its capabilities and turn of speed, proving it is already a challenger in the world of high-performance cars. The Genesis GV60 Magma Concept makes its global dynamic debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking the first time that a Magma model is shown in action since the high-performance program officially launched in March. “We are thrilled to present the global dynamic debut of the GV60 Magma Concept at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed,” said Genesis Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke. “The festival’s storied legacy and enthusiastic audience provide an ideal platform to showcase the capabilities of our new Magma program and highlight our strong commitment to high performance. We invite all attendees to immerse themselves in the full Genesis experience and witness the dynamic energy and power of Genesis Magma.” The dynamic debut, led by Genesis brand partner and racing legend Jacky Ickx on the Goodwood hillclimb, comes with the announcement that the Genesis GV60 Magma is on track to enter production soon, becoming the first Magma model to do so.
