About us
Grand Hotel, is a National Historic Landmark located on Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan where cars are not allowed and horse-drawn carriages are the favored modes of transportation. Since 1887 America’s Summer Place beckons you to a bygone era of old-world hospitality and charm. An overnight stay in one of our 393 uniquely decorated guest rooms includes a full breakfast and five-course dinner daily, nightly dancing to the sounds of the Grand Hotel Orchestra, and spectacular views of the Straits of Mackinac and the Mackinac Bridge from a rocking chair on the world's longest porch. Swim in the Esther Williams swimming pool, golf 18 holes on The Jewel, or shop in many shops located in the hotel and downtown Mackinac Island.
