Mental health, measured.

About us

Backed by $40M and elite Silicon Valley VCs and strategics, Health Rhythms is a pioneering AI/behavioral sensing solution addressing the dual crises in mental health: insufficient access and lack of intervention effectiveness measurement. The market now recognizes that there is no health without mental health. By combining the multi-dimensional sensing capabilities of mobile phones with the power of embedded and cloud computing platforms and novel AI algorithms, we continuously, objectively, and accurately measure mental health status for the very first time. We are realizing the vision of precision medicine for mental health by anticipating clinical deterioration before it reaches crisis proportions and by delivering personalized, just-in-time interventions based on each patient’s own behavioral profile. We have a head start advantage of 35 years of empirical evidence, 957 peer-reviewed papers between our four co-founders, a universally recognized best-in-class team, a robust IP portfolio, and the largest mental health AI data set. UCHealth ($6B) declared "Health Rhythms will change the face of care," and its number one strategic priority is to deploy our app to its 2.5M patients. Otsuka ($18B pharma) invested in Health Rhythms after assessing 500+ mental health companies, recognizing our potential to revolutionize the industry.

Dealing with administrative tasks and insurance can lead to therapist burnout. You see it happen over and over again–perfectly capable therapists close their practices, leave agencies, and archive their Psychology Today profiles. We’re suggesting a new approach to this dilemma. CMS recently approved remote therapeutic monitoring for behavioral health. This opens up a new reimbursable opportunity to receive more relevant and continuous behavioral health data. Use this to optimize your care plans, increase empathy with your patients, and reduce their burden to keep track of their progress over time. Do you want to pilot this new program with us? You know there’s more to your patient’s mental health than what they share during their appointment. Now that CMS has approved remote therapeutic monitoring for behavioral health, you and your patients can objectively measure symptom severity while you create a more personalized care plan. Because these billing codes are new, awareness is still growing for providers. We’re looking for providers who want to pilot a new program with us. You’ll be reimbursed for improving patient outcomes while we test the new billing codes. Comment below or send us a message.

Now Available: Behavioral Vital Signs™ Reports for Providers  📊 We surveyed mental health providers and here’s what we discovered: ➡️ Getting historical data from patient recall, like previous diagnoses or medication history, is challenging. ➡️ You want more standardized data, especially for your remote or telehealth patients. ➡️ You need more data on social engagement, mood patterns, and day-to-day activities. ➡️ You want a simple, easily accessible collection method for patients. We took your input and created our latest feature, Behavioral Vital Signs™ Reports. Patients who use the Health Rhythms app complete PHQ-9, GAD-7, and other surveys. Additionally, they're measuring passive sensing data from their phone’s sensors like out-of-bed time, social mobility, and walking rate. Together, this paints a clear picture of your patient’s mental health status. The Behavioral Vital Signs™ Report shows you their trends over time, highlights key areas for discussion, and helps you operate a data-driven practice. Your patients will receive the same report in the Health Rhythms app. How would you use a report like this with your patients? Here's an example of the report:

You’re skeptical about integrating a new digital tool into your practice. But over 50 million people used wellness apps in 2023. In a perfect world, you could meet your patients where they are by integrating consumer mental health apps into your existing workflows. Wouldn’t you want to see the data they’re measuring? Your practice is about to get a lot easier. More details coming…

Is your treatment plan working for your patients? How do you best evaluate this? How do they evaluate it? You have the PHQ-9, the GAD-7, and so on…but you can’t realistically administer those between visits. Patients have their own self-assessment, but they don’t often track their progress over time. When these metrics are used to determine treatment plans and medications, how confident are you? Stay tuned for more details… 📊
