The theme is “It Starts with Us: Honoring Our Own Leaders and Giving Back to Our Community.” The luncheon will include HAWL’s Leadership Academy Graduation, scholarships to deserving students, an awards ceremony and the swearing in of our 2024-2025 officers and board of directors. Networking begins at 11:30am at the University Club of Tampa (located on the 38th Floor of One Tampa City Center, 201 N. Franklin Street, Tampa, FL 33602) and the program will begin promptly at 12pm. We kid, we kid! Yesterday was #NationalPetDay and we may have gotten a little carried away here at HAWL haha. Please only bring human creatures to the courthouse, with the exception of service animals, those cuties are always welcome :) We hope you will join us on Thursday, April 25th as we celebrate the annual Take Your Child to Work Day at the George Edgecomb Courthouse! During this event, children & guests will have the opportunity to tour the inner workings of the courthouse & either witness or participate in a mock trial. Thank you to all who joined Elba Caridad Martin and Christine Derr as they hosted Flamenco for Eight (which turned into 11!) at Columbia Restaurant in Ybor on March 19th! The Flamenco show was stunning and the attendees enjoyed socializing with their fellow HAWL members. Due to overwhelming interest, there’s even talk about making this an annual event!
