Hi-Tech’s manufacturing dept. has added two new CNC machines for 2024! 2023 Hyundai Wia LV1100RM Lathe & a 2023 Hyundai Wia HD3100SY Lathe The LV1100RM is a Vertical lathe with a turning diameter of 45.7” and a turning height of 39.4”. It is equipped with live milling tools, a tool probe, and an indexable C axis. These options give us the capability to manufacture parts like pistons, cylinder liners, impellers, and pump castings with fewer set ups, higher accuracy, higher quality, and will produce parts faster than previously capable. The HD3100SY is a Horizontal heavy-duty lathe with a turning diameter of 16” and length of 32” long. This machine utilizes many options to manufacture complex features in fewer steps. These options include a main and sub spindle, tool probe, live milling, y axis, half step double sided turret, through tool coolant and indexable C axis. With these capabilities, we can now manufacture more complex compressor and pump components in fewer operations and at a higher quality. Fewer operations mean less room for operator error, less time spent manufacturing, and higher accuracy. This machine will be responsible for manufacturing various types of valves, unloader components, valve studs, and pump components. With the addition of these machines, Hi-Tech Compressor can ensure our customers receive the highest quality components.

Here are a few of the items we've made in the shop recently plus a piston assembly we are preparing for newly sprayed on bronze rider rings. A new HHE liner for one of our southern refineries, 4 new poppet valves made in 2 weeks for an Appalachian pipeline, respraying a main line piston for a local gas transmission customer and a few different OEM pistons to name a few. Oh ya and installed some hot compression molded PEEK solid rider rings in an effort to increase the refineries reliability in a less than stellar cylinder bore.
