"What truly captivated me was how effectively the Visible Impact program shattered that mental glass ceiling." WOW!! Alessandra Delgado graduated from the Spring 2024 Visible Impact cohort and makes a really good point in her note below. Sometimes there's a glass ceiling in our mind that we need to smash too. If you missed the July 24th Visible Impact personal branding series information session, join us on August 6th at the link in the comments. What messages has the glass ceiling in your mind been telling you?
The world needs visible women. I thought I had a problem—my accent, how young I look, my lack of hawkishness. But as a participant in the How Women Lead 2024 Visible Impact program, I was struck by how women of all ages, backgrounds, and races grapple with owning their success. Despite our extraordinary accomplishments, most of us hesitate to embrace and make our achievements visible. What truly captivated me, though, was how effectively the Visible Impact program shattered that mental glass ceiling. ➡ I highly recommend checking out the upcoming info session today, Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM PDT/ 11:00 AM EDT. Thank you, Brandy Goolsby, MBA, MS, for keeping my LinkedIn on track, Carla Morton ♦ Leadership Coach for emboldening me to seize opportunities, Cherie Lawson for providing valuable business advice, Darina Denkova for generously sharing your connections, and all the incredible women in my cohort. Visible is better together ✨

Now more than ever it's important to embody the countercultural How Women Lead Credo: Be fierce advocates for each other Say yes to helping each other Reinforce her voice Be unabashedly visible #KamalaHarris #supportwomenleaders #womenleaders #leadership #unity #hope https://lnkd.in/g9zAqFBz
For every woman I know, there’s a collective sense of relief that perhaps there’s an end in site of the handsmaid tale that has been looming. After the announcement on Sunday, I felt hope for the first time in way too long. A collective sigh that the pendulum could be swinging back to sanity. I'm excited. I'm ready. What is possible with a woman president? A Black and Indian president? Climate, education, human rights, economic prosperity for us all? Here is my call to action regardless of your political beliefs: Be her fierce advocate. Do not let anyone around you tear her down. We all know the culture is brutal to women leaders. We have to change this. This is our window of opportunity to call on everyone we know to be fierce advocates of other women leaders. I know the cost on your own leadership journey has been extraordinary. It is documented that it makes us sick and stops us from reaching our leadership potential. How are you going to fiercely advocate for the woman leader putting herself out there with courage and leadership? This morning, I stopped someone I know when they started to tear her down. Not around me. I don’t want to hear it. It’s time to rally for a woman leader—THE leader. If you’re part of our organization, you know this is our Credo. The countercultural invitation to be better than the culture taught us. It takes intention. It takes commitment. It takes courage. How are you going to reinforce her voice? What actions can you take? Have you said yes? How can you use your privilege and open doors? 15 minutes every day? What can you give? Our daughters are watching us. Right now we have women stepping up to be unabashedly visible in leadership in the most contentious, harsh environment of clickbait and negativity we have ever seen. So what is your role? I know mine and is to pull out all the stops. Integrity is so important to me that I don’t think I can live in peace if I don’t put it all on the table. You? #KamalaHarris #womenleaders #leadership #womensupportingwomen
