We are so proud to continue our relationship with Akorn Education, which provides #WorkExperience opportunities for budding engineers and grows the presentation skills of our #Interns, #Graduates, and #YoungEngineers. During the #SchoolHolidays, 25 high school students attended Engineers Australia’s offices for a unique work experience. Across the week, we presented the key requirements for engineering disciplines—mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, sustainability, and fire protection- and the students workshopped the information in a community precinct with residential, commercial, retail, and medical facilities. It was a pleasure to return at the end of the week and see how the students used our team's information to create innovative and interesting designs. “The designs were exceptional. The students showcased so much creativity and innovation, using online software and even Minecraft to create 3D models of their designs. They picked up the best elements of the various engineering disciplines they were presented during the week and applied some complex concepts with skill and enthusiasm” – Benjamin Eley, Electrical Intern 📽️ Courtesy Akorn Education 🗣️ Amelia Wells, Dean Kyriakos, Michael Uhlhorn, Ben Eley, Jayson Papadopoulos and Sam Northcott 🏫 KOONUNG SECONDARY COLLEGE OLMC Heidelberg Caroline Chisholm Catholic College St Monica's College Epping - Official Rowville Secondary College #Changemakers #LivingSystems #InternsAppreciationDay

CEO of TYLin | Head of Sidara Global Infrastructure Brands | Leading a Team of 5000+ Professionals in the Design and Development of Infrastructure Worldwide.

Happy Intern Appreciation Day! Today is especially meaningful to me as we celebrate the future leaders of our industry. I firmly believe that internships are more than resume builders; they're a platform for shaping the next generation of engineers. This summer, we've had the privilege of hosting over 100 interns across the US, Canada, the Philippines, and Spain. Since May, they've been immersed in the world of Water, Transportation, and Buildings, gaining hands-on experience and invaluable insights from our seasoned professionals across our brands at TYLin, Introba, and Landrum & Brown. Our goal is to ensure that every intern leaves with a deep understanding of our mission, collaborative culture, and positive impact on the communities we serve. And, of course, we hope they'll be eager to join our ranks as full-time employees after graduation! #TYLinConnects #TYLinterns #InternDay #NationalInternDay

Today marks Intern Appreciation Day, a moment to recognize and celebrate the leaders of tomorrow.   At TYLin, we regard internships as invaluable opportunities to inspire, nurture, and hone the skills of future engineers.   Since May, our 2024 summer internship program has flourished with the participation of over 100+ interns across the world. They've been deeply involved in projects related to water infrastructure, innovative transportation solutions, and sustainable building design. United by a shared passion for a greener future, their energy and commitment are driving forces that could redefine these industries for years to come.   We aim to immerse each intern in our work, fostering a deep understanding of our collaborative approach and the positive change we create in the communities we serve.   The stories of Amanda Newton, EIT, Sydney McIvor, EIT, and Manuel Martinez, EIT, who all started as interns, are a testament to the transformative power of mentorship and real-world experience at TYLin.   To read their stories ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gUmdCVBW   #TYLinConnects #TYLinterns #InternDay #NationalInternDay

🎉 Happy Intern Appreciation Day! 🎉 Today, we want to take a moment to celebrate the journey and achievements of one of our own, Thomas Holton. Tom’s story is a testament to the incredible potential and opportunities that apprenticeships and internships can unlock. Tom’s journey began with work experience at a main contractor, where his passion and dedication quickly shone through. This early experience earned him a spot in their apprenticeship scheme in 2016. From there, Tom continued to excel, pursuing his Level 3 & 4 course in Building Services Engineering while working at Introba UK. Tom's commitment to his work and thirst for knowledge propelled him forward, and he went on to achieve a degree in Building Services Engineering Design - graduating with First Class Honors! 🎓✨ Today, Tom is one of our valued Intermediate Engineers, contributing his expertise and innovative spirit to our team every day. His journey from apprentice to accomplished engineer is truly inspiring, and we are so proud to have him as part of the team. To all the interns out there, remember that your hard work and dedication can lead to amazing opportunities. And to all our colleagues, let’s continue to support and nurture the incredible talent within our teams. Here’s to many more success stories like Tom’s! 🚀👏 #InternAppreciationDay #CareerJourney #EngineeringExcellence #Introba #BuildingServicesEngineering #SuccessStory

I'm excited to share that Gradient Canopy has officially earned LEED Platinum certification! Built with a focus on healthy and responsibly sourced materials, Gradient Canopy is a testament to Google's ongoing work to build a sustainable future. Later this month, Gradient Canopy will showcase LEED Platinum plaques made from reclaimed redwood in its lobbies and another made of recycled aluminum from Pixel phones in the Google Store – one more way that we’re integrating circular materials into this development. Thank you to everyone involved in this ambitious project! https://lnkd.in/eGfQudtH #LEEDPlatinum #Sustainability #GreenBuilding #Google

The aviation industry is the heartbeat of global connectivity, and we are proud to help develop some of the best airports in the world. From hubs, security systems, and technology to specialized support facilities, our expertise and comprehensive approach set us apart.    Congratulations to our firms on their project involvement with two airports that received recent achievements in the World’s Best Airports, evaluated by AirHelp for its 2024 annual score report:    # 1 in the World: Hamad International Airport, Doha – a collaborative project by Dar and Introba. Alongside Dar, who was the lead design architect and engineer for the airport's expansion, Introba provided design and on-site construction support for systems ranging from IT to security and baggage handling. The results of this project continue to elevate its reputation, providing trust and confidence to travelers, staff, and stakeholders.    # 1 in North America: Salt Lake City International Airport, USA –   The airport’s baggage handling system, powered by Introba, features over 25,000 feet of conveyor belts and advanced security. The system not only moves luggage but prioritizes safety with innovative explosive detection, showcasing thoughtful engineering that enhances the travel experience and benefits the community for years to come.    These projects would not have been possible without the passion and dedication of every partner, client, collaborator, and team member who played a pivotal role in bringing innovative ideas to life.     Learn more about our work in aviation ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dNiPqfYP    Dar Introba AirHelp    #Sidara #SidaraCollaborative #Dar #Introba #HomeforHumanEndeavor #DigitalSolutions #Livability #Aviation #Innovation #TopAirport #AirportDesign

This morning, I had the privilege of attending the opening keynote by Bertice Berry,PhD. at the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference. Dr. Berry's powerful words resonated deeply with the audience, offering profound insights and encouragement. Dr. Berry shared her journey with MS, reflecting on how she was once incredibly healthy before her diagnosis. She emphasized that we can't judge our new selves based on our past. Sometimes, we need to clean our filters to prepare for new opportunities and to recognize what we don't want in our lives. Her message was clear: we have the power to change our circumstances. She highlighted the value of the ASHE community, noting that we are among the few who truly understand the unique challenges of our roles in healthcare. Dr. Berry urged us to share our own stories because people are most interested in what genuinely matters. She reminded us to tell our stories, not everyone else's, and to understand that a story listener is different from a storyteller—they simply listen. Lastly, Dr. Berry stressed the importance of people knowing our names and the legacies we wish to leave behind. Her words were a powerful reminder of the impact we can have by being authentic and sharing our personal journeys. #ASHEInnovates #HealthcareLeadership #DrBerticeBerry #Legacy #Storytelling #HealthcareEngineering #ASHECommunity #HealthCareFacilitiesInnovation #weareintroba

Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of speaking at the TYLin/ Introba Town Hall meeting. It was so refreshing to see this year's high school student interns from Gwendolyn Brooks College. TYLin connects to mentor students from the local community and introduce them to engineering through summer internships. Seeing kids that look like me given this opportunity was heartwarming. Kudos to the CEO of TYLin, Matthew Cummings. This is how the industry should show up for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. These are the names of the students from the Chicago high school: Priscila Juarez, Bishop-Adam Ajilogba, Teniola Ajagbe, and Deven Frierson. Thank you to @Joyce Barnes for leading this effort. #GwendolynBrooksCollegePrep #TYLIN #TYLinConnects #TYLinBlueprint #weareintroba --- Let me know if you need any further changes!
