Membership includes more than 18,000 individual members and 515 corporate members. IREM promotes ethical real estate management practices through its credentialed membership programs, including the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation, the Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification, the Accredited Commercial Manager (ACoM) certification and the Accredited Management Organization (AMO) accreditation. These esteemed credentials certify competence and professionalism for those engaged in real estate management. In addition, IREM offers Associate, Student and Academic memberships. Collectively, IREM CPM Members in the United States manage over $1.5 trillion in real estate assets, including 8.4 million residential units and 8.4 billion net square feet of commercial space. The building received a major building renovation which was completed prior to the Pandemic. Today, #IREM honors and celebrates Juneteenth, a federal holiday in the United States that marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. The name Juneteenth blends "June" and "nineteenth," reflecting its annual celebration on June 19. On this day in 1865, enslaved African Americans in Texas were finally informed of their freedom, over two months after the Civil War had ended. This announcement enforced the Emancipation Proclamation issued by President Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863, nearly two and a half years earlier.
