After almost ten years of drafting, amending, and vibrant discussion from the Illinois State Bar Association, The Chicago Bar Association, and various court committees, the Illinois Supreme Court has adopted a new misconduct Rule 8.4 for Illinois attorneys. 🚀 2024 Mirza Risk Management Conference 🚀 I had a fantastic time attending the ISBA Mutual Insurance Company’s 2024 Mirza Risk Management Conference in Rockford. As a member of the Board of Directors for ISBA Mutual, I see firsthand how we provide more services and support for the lawyers of Illinois than any other company. The conference offered excellent CLE, learning, and networking opportunities. I had an enlightening conversation with George Bellos, who is on the Illinois Supreme Court Task Force on AI. We discussed how AI is impacting our practices and the ethical implications it brings. These insights are crucial as we navigate the evolving legal landscape. It was also special to have my dad attend the conference with me. It was great to connect with ISBA members from not just Northern Illinois, but also from Chicagoland. A big thank you to the speakers, Garrett Kern, Amanda Hamilton, and Adam from Sidebar Insurance, for their insightful presentations, and to ISBA Mutual for organizing such a valuable event.
