As a leader in eye health and part of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, we are driven by a bold ambition: Vision Made Possible™— paving the way for a new future of eye health to support the full spectrum of pediatric, adult and aging eyes. Our priority is to deliver on the eye health needs of more than 44 million patients around the world every year. Poor eye health has reached epidemic proportions and access to care around the world remains inequitable and disconnected – and we believe that we have the opportunity—and responsibility—to do more. Sight is a key component in the way many of us experience the world, learn and remember, and what many fear losing the most. We are driven to reimagine and deliver the most all-encompassing eyecare to meet the unique needs of every patient. Understanding that eye health needs change over a lifetime—from contacts to cataracts, we have built a unified, global organization that collaborates, innovates, and works seamlessly together to care for patients at every stage in their eye health journey. Through cutting-edge innovation, scientific expertise, and advanced technologies, we stand as a trusted partner, making dependable outcomes possible for our customers and patients.

Cheryl struggled with severe dry eyes, she said she would wake up and have to physically pry her eyes open with her fingers. As a busy real estate agent, spending long hours on screens only made things worse, and her daily discomfort was overwhelming. Her doctor helped her discover TearScience™ LipiFlow™, a procedure that restores meibomian gland function in eyes. After a quick and painless treatment, she experienced the joy of uninterrupted sleep and the freedom to wear her contact lenses comfortably throughout the day. This #DryEyeAwarenessMonth, check out her full story https://bit.ly/3LoXqkc and see what’s possible when innovation meets human need. Our team took patient and eye care professional feedback to heart, addressing lifestyle needs and helping to prevent dry, tired eyes from becoming the norm. https://bit.ly/3y7uyKh Our lenses feature the proprietary TearStable™ Technology, designed to enhance tear-film stability and lock in moisture for exceptional all-day comfort. Did you know that more than half of U.S. adults live with dry eye disease (DED)? The biggest culprit? Excessive screen time. Staring at screens reduces blinking, which affects the tear film released by meibomian glands, leading to dry eyes. For #DryEyeAwarenessMonth, we’re looking at the numbers – highlighting the prevalence of dry eye disease (DED) and how our teams are advancing treatments to help millions affected by this common condition. For decades, we’ve been devoted to addressing complex eye health challenges worldwide. Our innovative partnerships and global initiatives make vision possible at every life stage, helping people realize their full potential. Continuing this mission, we were recently honored to be a Changemaker during the 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE event in Mexico, hosted by International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB). At our booth we showcased our continued dedication to advancing eye health – making meaningful connections with industry experts and advocates. Our colleagues Katie Buckley and Naemi Fukushima also had the special opportunity to participate in panels discussions including “Queer Eye Care: Elevating Eye Health in the LGBTQAI+ Community,” which focused on elevating representation within our industry, and “Guaranteeing Quality Cataract Surgical Outcomes,” where we discussed driving greater expertise and education around cataract surgery. We look forward to continuing this momentum and driving forward the future of eye health! #2030InSight #VisionMadePossible

This #CataractAwarenessMonth, we want to spotlight the work of our R&D teams who have developed premium intraocular lenses (IOLs) for patient populations affected by cataracts, the leading cause of treatable blindness in the world. Cataract surgery is the number one surgery performed globally, with 28 million procedures each year. But only 10% to 15% of patients are getting advanced optical IOLs specifically designed for astigmatism and presbyopia. With greater advancements happening in the field, patients have more choices than ever before. #VisionMadePossible

This Cataract Awareness Month, our #VisionMadePossible Visionaries employee spotlight is on Keith Handa, a research & development manager responsible for verification and validation of surgical vision equipment. Keith has worked behind the scenes in the R&D labs for over two decades on phacoemulsification systems for cataract surgery, the latest being the VERITAS™ Vision System. His role and expansive knowledge have given him a unique understanding of the full suite of premium cataract surgery equipment at Johnson & Johnson. So, earlier this year when Keith realized he was no longer comfortable driving at night and had to rely on his wife for night driving, his ophthalmologist discussed options for Keith’s own cataract surgery. To treat his astigmatism and to accommodate his lifestyle needs, they decided on the TECNIS Eyhance™ Toric IOL for both eyes. Because Keith’s role on Johnson & Johnson's Vision Team is to put surgical equipment through rigorous testing, he felt extremely confident going into cataract surgery. So much so that he believes he could follow the doctor’s every move just based on the sounds of the equipment! Keith is one of many outstanding individuals who have been working to make Vision Made Possible a reality around the world. Important Safety Information: https://bit.ly/3RJtfaU

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller Recently, Christoph Vonwiller, President, Asia-Pacific had the honor to attend and speak at the 106th Lions Clubs International Convention in Melbourne, Australia. He shared the incredible success of our 22-year partnership with the Lions Clubs International Foundation. Together we have provided comprehensive eye health services to more than 50 million students in underserved and low-income communities across Africa, Asia and North America. We’re so proud to have helped children like Ripshita Ghosh from Kolkata, India, who received free glasses that transformed her life and allowed her to pursue her passion for art, and thankful for the dedication of our partners for bringing impact to where it matters most. Let’s continue to collaborate to make vision possible for more students across the globe – every child deserves the gift of sight. #SightForKids #VisionMadePossible

A skilled and deeply knowledgeable builder his whole life, Ira was enjoying spending his retirement years helping others plan their projects, until his cataracts made the detailed blueprints too difficult to see. After consulting with his doctor, he learned his cataracts had gotten worse and he didn’t want to delay his chance at brighter, clearer vision any longer. After surgery, Ira experienced better vision almost immediately. Read more: jjvision.com #VisionMadePossible
