    We're hiring! Join our team as an Administrative Assistant. Kestrel Land Trust, an accredited regional land trust based in Amherst, MA, seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team of 12 on a mission to conserve, care for, and connect people to the forests, farms, parks and trails in the heart of the Connecticut River Valley of western Massachusetts. The Administrative Assistant will work on-site in a beautiful office overlooking a pond and conservation area, 4-5 days per week for up to 20 hours per week conducting office administrative tasks to ensure a friendly, functional, and efficient operation. Flexible hours available. Essential functions include greeting visitors, answering phones, data entry, mailings, local errands, taking meeting minutes, organizing files, and assisting staff with conservation, stewardship and community engagement projects. The successful candidate will be a highly organized and self-motivated team player who thrives on improving efficiency and productivity, and brings a friendly positive attitude to the work environment. Qualifications include a minimum of 2-3 years administrative experience in a non-profit or small business or equivalent degree, proficiency in Microsoft 365 Word, Excel, and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. The anticipated start date for this position is June 2024 or as soon as filled. Review of applications will begin in May with priority given to those received by May 6.     We’re hiring! Kestrel is currently seeking a new addition to our dedicated team. Kestrel Land Trust, an accredited regional land trust, seeks a full- to part-time Land Steward to join our staff of professionals who care for conserved lands in the Valley. The successful candidate will be an energetic, motivated team player who loves the land. The Land Steward’s primary responsibility is to provide lasting care for the trails and conservation lands owned by Kestrel and key public partners by carrying out field and office tasks, and engaging volunteers. Responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining existing trails, as well as planning and constructing new trails and infrastructure; monitoring conservation lands, invasive plant control, and helping create land management plans; and database record-keeping and GIS mapping. We seek candidates who are interested in working 30-40 hours/week (salary and benefits pro-rated as needed). Use of a personal vehicle will be necessary to access designated work locations.
